St. Petersburg

Woke up and wandered around a bit. This place is a far cry from the Communism-hungover bummer it was in ’93. Now its a super-happening Euro city. Then hit the venue to mess around with the Axe-Fx. In the photo, you can see the first batch of people that rushed the stage. By the time we played it was filled to the back. The guys said it was perhaps the best crowd they’ve played to yet, a title previously held by Germany. I made some errors, mostly from having just plain too much energy. But it was super fun. When we left the club, it was still light outside as we drove by the cathedral. Tomorrow: Moscow!

I had only known him a few days, and yet he was more than willing to take my camera and get some footage for me, being the super great guy that he is. I can tell it was my first show. The crowd is completely awesome and it was an amazing night:
